I am/was a Midwesterner, Grand Rapids, Michigan, now living in San Diego, California. What does that make me now? A full-fledge westerner? Or a Californian, or a San Diegian? Or a former Midwesterner? Hmmm….all of these labels are very confusing. I like to think of myself as a spiritual being that is experiencing all of the little treasures that the universe sends my way!
The sun here in San Diego makes it very difficult to ever want to go back to the violent, cold months in Michigan but I do so love my Michigan in the summer on yearly visits! There is nothing like my little Grand Rapids.
I am beginning to be a California snob about the weather–it didn’t take long. What do you expect when it is 70 degrees and sunny almost everyday! It rains for more than a day, and I am beside myself! My friends back home would be so disappointed.
I adore reading, have a desire to write and have a love/hate relationship with cooking. I enjoy cooking until it becomes a gloomy chore. Love red wine and chocolate.
I am very much in love…found my littleheart while in South Korea teaching English. We had a long distance relationship for one-year, he definitely must be a keeper!
I’m enjoying my life here in sunny San Diego with my littleheart; life is…oh so…good.
Hi Littlejl, I know you better as JL, but won’t give anything away! Your blog is stupendous! I actually looked at it once before but didn’t put two and two together that it was YOU! Boy, I am slow. Well, I didn’t read it real carefully the first time. This time I did and I am so proud of your accomplishments. Basically, you have tackled your weight issues with sheer determination and self-motivation. As a personal trainer, I am impressed!
Thanks for your continued support in reading my posts. I shall also be a regular reader of yours, now that I have my head on straight!
Your Book and Health Friend (Mind and Body!!!!),
June
Oh thank you, June! That is so very nice of you. I thoroughly enjoy all the encouraging words. I’m working at it and won’t give up! Take care my friend and see you in a few weeks.
To our health,
~Jl

Why thank you carldagostino for stopping by! I thoroughly enjoy reading your blog…it makes me smile! 😉
62? Your still a young pup! June Weiner (who commented above) is a personal fitness trainer and she is in her 60’s. She has some great fitness advice on her blog.
I say don’t “push” just “do”! Thanks for stopping by.
Hi littlejl, Thanks for the mention! It’s my biggest hope to inspire baby boomers, as well as others, to live full, active lives by taking good care of themselves.
